How to transfer domain to IP ServerOne
Introduction
This guide explains how to transfer your domain to IPServerOne. To avoid service interruptions, start the transfer process at least 10 days before your domain expires.
Steps for domain transfer:
1. Prepare for the Transfer
- Unlock the Domain: Log in to your current registrar’s account and unlock the domain (set the status to active).
- Obtain the Authorization Code (EPP Code): Request the EPP code from your current registrar to initiate the transfer.
2. Verify WHOIS Information
Ensure your WHOIS details are accurate and up-to-date.
3. Request the Transfer
Email the unlocked domain details, WHOIS information, and EPP code to cs@ipserverone.com.
4. Handle Renewal and Payment
Once the transfer is complete, the domain will be renewed for 1 year, and a renewal invoice will be issued:
- Existing Customers: The domain will be added to your current account.
- New Customers: Create an account via the IPServerOne Customer Portal and provide your customer ID to support.
After making the payment, notify customer support or send the payment slip if payment made not via customer portal. For user guide make payment via invoice refer here.
5. Initiate the Transfer
After payment confirmation, IPServerOne will start the transfer. If transferring within the same registrar (Webnic), an approval email will be sent to the admin email. Approval must be given within 5 days to avoid cancellation. Ensure the admin email is correct and request approval from your current registrar for a quicker process.
6. Complete the Transfer
The transfer typically takes 5-10 days. You will receive a notification once it’s completed.
Note: Name Servers cannot be changed during the transfer. Plan to update them before starting the process to avoid any issues.
