Prerequisites

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Login to DirectAdmin

• Log into Directadmin as the user who manages the email domain. If you are login as Admin, you can change into user mode by referring to the following guide: How to Move from Admin Level to User Level in Direct Admin

Step 2: Navigate to Email Forwarders

1. Once logged in, go to the E-Mail Manager section.
2. Click on Forwarders to access the email forwarding settings.

Step 3: Create a New Email Forwarder

1. Inside the Forwarders section, click on the Create E-mail Forwarder button.

Step 4: Enter Email Forwarding Details

1. In the Forwarder Name field, enter your original email address (e.g., user1@yourdomainname.com).
2. In the Destination Email field, enter the email address where you want the emails to be forwarded (e.g., user2@anotherdomain.com).
3. Once both fields are filled out, click Create to set up the forwarder.

Step 5: Receive Confirmation

After successfully creating the forwarder, you’ll receive a notification confirming the setup.

Editing or Deleting a Forwarder

• To edit a forwarder: Locate it in the list, select the checkbox, and click ‘Modify’. Make the necessary changes and save.
• To delete a forwarder: Select the desired entry and click ‘Delete’.
