Can the domain renewal date be consolidated into one date?
We understand the convenience of having a single renewal date for all your domains, but unfortunately, this isn’t possible due to a few important reasons:
- Registry Rules: Domain registry has set fixed renewal terms (ex: 1 year or multiple years.) starting on the registration date. These terms cannot be changed to align multiple domains.
- Prepaid Periods: Domains are prepaid services. Aligned renewal dates would require forfeiting unused periods on some domains or extending others, which could result in additional costs.
- System Limitations: Domain management systems are designed to operate based on individual renewal cycles. Consolidating dates would require custom changes that most registrars cannot accommodate.
Perhaps, we would advise that you may either renew your domain(s) for a longer period or you can set a reminder on specific date to renew your domain(s) to ensure that your domain(s) will not be suspended due to expiry.
