What is the new multi-currency feature?
The new multi-currency feature, effective 20th August 2024, allows you to manage your account and transactions in foreign currencies, providing greater flexibility and convenience.
Who can manage the currency settings for my account?
The primary user and manager role will be able to configure the currency selection.
How do I change my preferred account currency?
- Option 1: Navigate to the top dashboard and select the “Currency”
- Option 2: Go to your “My Account” settings, select “Settings,” and choose your desired currency from the dropdown
Note: Users with a registered address in Malaysia cannot change their default currency from MYR due to Bank Negara Malaysia regulations. Users will see a pop-up prompt of the same.
Will changing my preferred account currency affect my auto top-up setting or vice-versa?
No, changing your account currency will not affect your auto top-up setting or vice-versa. For flexibility, both settings are independently set.
You may change it under:
- Account currency setting: Navigate to “My Account” settings
- Auto top-up setting: Navigate to NovaCloud Platform
Can I have different currencies for my account and auto top-up settings?
Yes, you can set different currencies for your account currency and auto top-up settings. However, changing your registered country to Malaysia will update both to MYR.
Will changing my preferred currency affect my service renewals?
No, changing your preferred currency will not affect past transactions and renewal. It will only apply to future transactions and account displays.
Can I have different currencies in my cart?
No, your shopping cart will be updated to the currently selected currency.
What happens if I change my registered country to Malaysia?
If you change your registered country to Malaysia, your account’s default currency and auto top-up currency will automatically update to MYR. This is to comply with Bank Negara Malaysia regulations.
Why am I restricted from changing my currency?
- Users with a registered address in Malaysia are restricted from changing their default currency from MYR due to regulations by Bank Negara If you believe there is an error, please contact billing@ipserverone.com for further assistance.
- You may not have the role access to configure the currency (only primary user & manager role able to configure). Please check with your primary user or manager role

How does the multicurrency feature benefit me?
The multicurrency feature provides flexibility to manage your finances in your preferred currency, reducing the need for manual currency conversions and improving your overall user experience.
Is there a fee for changing currencies?
No, there is no fee for changing your preferred currency. However, exchange rates may apply when performing transactions in a different currency.
How do currency exchange rates work on the platform?
Top-ups under the NovaCloud Platform will follow the daily exchange rate, meaning the amount you are charged will reflect the current rate at the time of the top-up. However, purchases via the order page (eg: domain, SSL, LinkMail etc) will use a static converted price, which means the price is fixed at the time of listing and will not fluctuate with daily exchange rates.
For auto top-up, please note that the final amount charged may be higher or lower depending on the exchange rate on the actual billing day.
Do I need to pay SST if my billing address is not set in Malaysia?
No, you do not need to pay SST if your billing address is not registered as Malaysia
