Prerequisite

  • Administrator access to the server
  • Knowledges on Windows Disk Management

 

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Access to your Windows server with Administrator login.

 

  • Once logged in to the server, right click the Start Button and select Disk Management.

 

  • In Disk Management, there will be unallocated space showing on the left side of the volume. Right click the volume that you wish to extend and select Extend Volume.

 

  • On the pop-up window (Extend Volume Wizard), click Next until you see the extend menu.

 

  • In this screen, Windows will auto select the whole unallocated space for you. But if you wish to not extend the entire unallocated space, you can enter you size at the bottom.

 

  • Click Finish to complete the extension process.

 

  • Once the process is completed, you will the unallocated space added in to volume.
