How to Purchase a Domain Name from IPServerOne

Introduction

Purchasing a domain name from IPServerOne is a simple and efficient process. Whether you’re launching a new website, expanding your online presence, or securing a unique domain, our intuitive portal ensures a seamless experience. This guide outlines the steps to register a domain using the IPServerOne customer portal, from checking domain availability to completing your purchase.

Steps to Register a Domain Name

1. Log in to the Customer Portal

Log in with your Primary or Secondary (Purchasing Role) user credentials. Once logged in, click New Order in the left panel and select Domain Name.

2. Check Domain Availability

Enter your desired domain name in the search field and click Search. If available, click the + button next to the domain to select it.



Note: For Domain available in whois but cannot be registered via portal, may it classified as Premium Domains or Restricted domain category. For assistance, contact our customer support team.

3. Choose a DNS Plan and Set Up a Registration Profile

On the Order Summary page, choose a DNS plan and configure your registration profile.



1. Choose DNS Plan: DNS plans include the following options. More details on the plan can refer here: DNS Plan Details

  • Free DNS Plan: 2 DNS records, ideal for basic websites.
  • Standard DNS Plan: Up to 30 DNS records, costs RM0.14/day.
  • Premium DNS Plan: Up to 50 DNS records with URL redirection, costs RM0.50/day.
  • Premium Plus DNS Plan: Up to 300 DNS records with URL redirection, costs RM0.99/day.
  • Own NameServer: Use your own name servers.

Note: Records are excluding Name Server & SOA. You will need to top up your credit if the balance is below RM50 during checkout. The system will prompt you during the request to check out.

2. Select an existing registration profile or create a new one for the domain’s WHOIS information. Fill in the required details for the Registrant, Technical, Billing, and Admin contacts, then click Save Changes. Further info on add or remove Domain Profile via portal, please refer here



  • If you don’t select a profile, the system will automatically register the domain using your account profile details.
  • If any information is incomplete, the system will prompt you to complete the missing details. For .my domain registrations, you are required to enter your IC number.

4. Review and Confirm

Once your registration profile is set, click Next. If using the default profile, it will automatically use your account details. Ensure your profile is complete and update any missing information if needed.



5. Domain Configuration

You will be directed to the Domain Configuration page. Review the registration details and click Confirm.

6. Proceed to Checkout

Your domain will be added to your cart. Click View Cart to review your order, then proceed to checkout.

7. Complete Payment

Select your preferred payment method:

  • Online banking: Redirects you to your bank’s login page.
  • Credit card: Enter your credit card details.
  • Business bank account: Redirects to your bank’s login page.

Conclusion

Once payment is completed, your domain registration will be submitted. Registration typically completes within 1 to 3 hours, depending on the domain type:

  • .my domains: Registration completes within 1 hour, though additional documents may be required by MYNIC.
  • .com.my, .biz.my, .net.my, .org.my domains: Verification and supporting documents may be requested.
  • Top-level domains (.com, .net, .org, .asia, .biz): Automatically registered after payment successful.

Note: If domain registration fails, the system will send a notification to your email.

For domain registrations that require a quotation or invoice in advance, please contact our customer support team via submit ticket through Help Center in customer portal or email to cs@ipserverone.com to process the registration manually. However, please be aware that domain availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
